Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa is hiring Lifeguard and Cashier positions for the public pool. Earn $19.57–$26.09 per hour while ensuring guest safety and processing payments.

Join a team that supports onsite amenities, dining, golf, and lakeside activities in one of the Fraser Valley's most scenic locales. Responsibilities include opening/closing, handling cash, maintaining safety checks, and delivering high-quality guest service.

Qualifications

• National Lifeguard certificate is required.
• Bronze Cross or higher is required.
• Basic Rescuer and CPR certificates are required.
• Occupational First Aid would be an asset.
• 1 year of cash handling experience is an asset.
• Experience with Light Speed POS is an asset.
• Ability to deal sensitively with guests, including new swimmers.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the building, manage keys and cash on evening shifts.
• Handle changing needs and maintain accurate float balance.
• Check First Aid Box and Oxygen canisters daily and report needs.
• Record pool water tests every two hours.
• Keep pool area, offices, washrooms, and change rooms clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

Ensure the enjoyment and safety of all patrons to the public pool. Accurately accounts for all patron’s safety and entrance fees. Handle all methods of payment and maintain accurate float and cash drops. Supplies information about the area and the resort.

What You’ll Do

• Open/close the building, takes keys and cash to the resort on evening shift, retrieve keys/float in the morning.
• Order adequate change from linen driver, anticipating daily needs.
• Checks First Aid Box and Oxygen canisters daily and report any replenishments needed to Supervisor.
• Take and record pool H2O tests every two hours.
• Maintain the cleanliness/professional image of the office, pool area, and washrooms/change rooms.
• Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Current National Lifeguard certificate required.
• Bronze Cross Certificate or higher.
• Basic Rescuer and current CPR certificate.
• Occupational First Aid would be an asset.
• 1-year experience with cash handling would be an asset.
• Previous experience using a POS System (specifically Light Speed) would be an asset.
• Ability to deal sensitively with people with disabilities or new swimmers.
• Ability to count, maintain accurate float and balance daily cash out.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able and willing to properly clean/sanitize pools, washrooms, change rooms etc.
• Availability for all shifts i.e. early morning, evenings, weekends, etc.
• Flexible to a changing schedule.
