Job summary

Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa is hiring two Banquet Servers to support our Banquets – Food and Beverage team. The role involves setting up and serving at functions, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining buffet and plated service standards.

Certification in Food Safe and Serving it Right are required, with resort experience and POS familiarity perks. On-site roles offer opportunities for growth, with access to resort amenities and a benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve banquet functions per BEOs and guest requests.

About the Role

The Banquet Server sets up and serves contractor food and beverage and responds to requests before, during and after functions. The Banquet Server works to satisfy all guest's needs and requests.

What You'll Do

• Obtain copies of the Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and fulfill as per the guests' request.
• Be familiar with the setup specifications for all of the types of functions the resort caters.
• Serve a plated event and maintain buffets.
• Maintain full product knowledge of all food & beverage items.
• Ensure the buffet set up and function rooms are clear of dirty dishes, garbage & recyclables.
• Assist with training new staff, stocking all supplies, and function room set up.
• Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Current Food Safe certification (required).
• Current Serving it Right certification (required)
• Strong customer service or public contact experience.
• 1 year with previous serving experience in a resort atmosphere is an asset.
• Touch screen POS experience would be an asset.
• Bartending experience is an asset.
• Capacity to safely lift/move up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods per shift.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
• Flexibility to work a changing schedule (mornings, mid day evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
• Fluent English communication skills (required); multi-lingual ability is a strong asset.
