Job summary

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in British Columbia is seeking a Pools Operator Assistant to work with the Pool Operator Technician. You will help oversee mechanical operations of the public pools complex and recreation centre pool at our timeshare location, ensuring maintenance standards are current.

The role requires at least three years' experience, TDG training, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience in the field.
• Transportation of Dangerous goods.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage concurrent deliverables and work effectively & independently in a milestone-driven environment.
• Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. Polished and professional demeanor and appearance.
• Computer skills with a high level of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the Pool Mechanical Operations are to Provincial Regulations and Standards.
• Maintain and monitor the resort’s different pools.
• Maintain and regulate the pool facility chlorine levels and system.
• Make sure water samples meet the health board recommendations and standards.
• Maintaining chlorine supply levels and maintenance of injectors and lines.
• Care of SCBA.
• Ordering cleaning and facility supplies.
• By yearly cleaning, or as required of the hot springs, to remove excessive sand and silt out.
• Checking weekly conditions of the springs and taking monthly water temperatures.
• Ensuring proper pool temperatures by water flow rates.
• Mechanical Maintenance of pools and yearly organizing of pool painting.

Job description

The Pools Operator Assistant works alongside the PoolOperator Technician to oversee the mechanical operations of the Public poolscomplex and the pool facilities at the Fairmont Hot Springs Lodge, as well asthe recreation centre pool at our timeshare location. Ensuring standards ofmechanical maintenance are complete and up to date with all Pool OperationGuidelines

Pay for this position is $23 per hour.
