Job summary

Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa is hiring a House Attendant to maintain cleanliness in public areas and assist with room setups, contributing to a safe and organized environment across the resort.

You will support the housekeeping team, respond to guest requests, and help create a positive guest experience through attentive service and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (asset).
• Ability to read and follow WHMIS instructions and safety rules.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily task sheets and complete cleaning duties in public and back-of-house areas.
• Perform light cleaning such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and polishing.
• Safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required (assistance provided).
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet extractors, steam cleaners, and floor machines.
• Assist with room and event setup (e.g., moving furniture, Murphy beds).
• Deliver guest amenities and assist with linen as needed.
• Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
• Replenish supplies for assigned areas.
• Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adhere to safety policies and resort procedures.

About the Role

As a House Attendant, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room setups, and ensuring a safe and organized environment throughout the resort. You’ll support the housekeeping team, respond to guest requests, and play an important part in creating a positive guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• Follow daily task sheets and complete assigned cleaning duties in public and back-ofhouse areas
• Perform light cleaning such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and polishing
• Safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required (assistance provided when needed)
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet extractors, steam cleaners, and floor machines
• Assist with room and event setup (e.g., moving furniture, raising/lowering Murphy beds)
• Deliver guest amenities and assist with linen as needed
• Report maintenance and repair needs promptly
• Replenish supplies for assigned areas
• Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Adhere to all safety policies, WHMIS standards, and resort procedures
• Complete all other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisors or Managers

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (an asset)
• Ability to read and follow WHMIS instructions and safety rules
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
• First Aid and WHMIS certification (an asset)
• Ability to consistently meet high cleaning standards
• Multilingual skills (an asset)
