Job summary

Huron Tractor Ltd. in Ontario is seeking an equipment technician to diagnose and repair turf and construction machines. You will inspect, test, and service equipment, and advise customers on repairs while maintaining a strong safety and teamwork focus.

Ideal candidates hold a 435A license, have 2–4 years of licensed experience, and bring solid electrical and hydraulic knowledge. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work extended hours are required.

Qualifications

• Small engine license (435A) required or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of licensed experience working on equipment.
• Strong electrical and hydraulic system knowledge required.
• Ability to utilize and learn new technology.
• Computer literacy – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Adherence to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Flexible to work schedule and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions.
• Repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment.
