Job summary

Huron Tractor is hiring an Agricultural Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair farming equipment. You will work under the Service Manager and contribute to maintenance, repairs, and customer service across Southern Ontario locations.

Minimum 3–5 years as a licensed journeyman with a 425A/310T/310S license; agricultural experience is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and flexibility for extended hours. Competitive hourly wage offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Journeyman license (425A, 310T or 310S).
• 3–5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman.
• Agricultural experience is an asset.
• Strong product and technical knowledge; able to learn new tech and use diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair used and new farming equipment; test and adjust to specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance; advise customers on work performed and future repairs.
• Complete reports of problems and work performed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team.

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair all used and new farming equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

• Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Currently holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S)
• Has 3 – 5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman
• Agricultural experience would be an asset
• Strong degree of product and technical knowledge
• Ability to utilize and learn new technology, computer proficient – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
• Valid driver's license
• Flexible to work schedule and extended hours

Wage Range

• $34 - $40 per hour
• Placement within the wage range is based on the skills, experience, and qualifications listed above
• Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
