Job summary

Huron Tractor in Ontario is seeking licensed Agricultural Equipment Technicians (Journeyman 425A, 310T or 310S) to diagnose and repair farming equipment. Join a John Deere partner with eleven Ontario locations.

As part of the service team you will inspect, diagnose faults, perform maintenance, document work and provide excellent customer service in a collaborative environment. Wage range is $34–$40 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S).
3–5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman.
Agricultural experience is an asset.
Strong product and technical knowledge.
Ability to utilize and learn new technology; computer proficient with diagnostic programs.
Valid driver's license.
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test equipment, diagnose faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test to specifications.
Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair all used and new farming equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

Currently holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S)
Has 3 – 5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman
Agricultural experience would be an asset
Strong degree of product and technical knowledge
Ability to utilize and learn new technology, computer proficient – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
Valid driver's license
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours

Wage Range

$34 - $40 per hour
Placement within the wage range is based on the skills, experience, and qualifications listed above
Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
