Huron Tractor Ltd. is seeking an Agricultural Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and service new and used farming equipment at one of our southern Ontario locations. You will communicate with customers, perform maintenance, and document work completed in reports.

The role emphasizes strong technical knowledge, a journeyman license, and flexibility to work extended hours while delivering excellent customer service in a team setting.

Qualifications

Journeyman license in 425A, 310T or 310S is required.
4+ years of experience as a licensed journeyman.
Agricultural experience is an asset.
Strong product and technical knowledge.
Ability to use and learn new technology, computer proficiency with internet and diagnostic software.
Valid driver's license.
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test equipment, diagnose faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust to specifications.
Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair all used and new farming equipment by executing the following responsibilities:

Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service, advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

Currently holds a Journeyman license in Ag Tech (425A), Heavy Equipment (310T) or Automotive (310S)
Has 4+ years of experience as a licensed journeyman
Agricultural experience would be an asset
Strong degree of product and technical knowledge
Ability to utilize and learn new technology, computer proficient - internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
Valid driver's license
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours

Wage Range

$36 - $40 per hour
Placement within the wage range is based on the skills, experience, and qualifications listed above
Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
