Job summary

VON Canada is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver holistic, client-centred care in home, clinic, virtual and community settings. You will assess clients, administer medications, manage wounds and chronic diseases, and collaborate with the broader care team to support families and patients.

This part-time (0.8 FTE) role offers autonomy, ongoing development, and a comprehensive benefits package in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
• Community health experience is an asset.
• Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check required.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Working conditions and physical demands:

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics.
