Job summary

Kelly Professional & Industrial in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) to troubleshoot, repair and maintain high-speed packaging and processing equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, support capital projects, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams while adhering to food safety and health and safety standards. Rotation includes days, afternoons, and nights with shift premiums.

Qualifications

• Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) with Ontario certification.
• Experience in food, beverage, packaging, or other high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance abilities.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed packaging and processing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Respond to production breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and material handling equipment.
• Complete fabrication and welding repairs as required.
• Assist with maintenance and capital projects.

Kelly is currently recruiting for a Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) on behalf of a leading food manufacturing organization in Ajax, Ontario.

Shift Schedule

This position operates on a rotating three-shift schedule:

• Days: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Afternoons: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Nights: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Candidates interested in permanent afternoon or night shifts may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed packaging and processing equipment
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Respond to production breakdowns and minimize downtime
• Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and material handling equipment
• Complete fabrication and welding repairs as required

• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, packaging, or other high-speed manufacturing environments
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working on high-speed packaging and automated production equipment
• Fabrication, machining, and welding experience
• Experience using machine shop equipment such as lathes and milling machines
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• PLC-controlled machinery
