Job summary

MT Talent Solutions Inc. is seeking a Licensed Millwright for a day shift in Richmond Hill, ON. You will work with CMMS to manage maintenance work orders and service a range of heavy industrial equipment.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a high-volume setting, 433A license (or 4th-year apprentice), and the ability to read blueprints. Overtime and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance in high-volume manufacturing
• 433A License or 4th Year Apprentice; Red Seal is an advantage
• Forklift license or willingness to become certified
• Overhead Crane Operator license or willingness to become certified
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery including PLC basics
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Strong problem solving and teamwork skills
• Physically able to perform demanding tasks
• Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and close work orders in CMMS
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematics to determine procedures
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary machinery per layout plans
• Operate cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery
• Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions
• Install and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, vacuum systems
• Fabricate parts with machine tools as needed during maintenance
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Assemble machinery prior to installation using tools and welding equipment
• May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate

Location: Richmond Hill, ON

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Industry:Heavy Industrial Manufacturing

Hours: Monday to Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm

1 afternoon shift per month (1 pm - 9:30 pm)

Here's what you will do:

• Work daily with CMMS software to create, modify, and close work orders
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical logic controls
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
• May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate

Here's what we're looking for and what you will need to succeed:

• 5+ years of hands-on Maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• 433A Licensed Millwright or 4th Year Apprentice. Red Seal Millwright is an advantage.
• Forklift license or experience with willingness to become certified
• Overhead Crane Operator license or experience with willingness to become certified
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery including basic skills with PLC troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Strong oral and written communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, moving materials, going up ladders, crouching, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to learn, curiosity, positive attitude and commitment to getting the job done right in a timely manner
• Reliable and committed with good attendance record
• Computer proficient: MS Office, CMMS
• High regard for health and safety and commitment to always following company and safety policies and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and strong multi-tasking abilities
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools. Welding or fabrication experience is an asset.
• Capable of working in heights, and confined spaces
