Leasing Specialist Core Responsibilities:

As our Leasing Specialist you make each interaction unforgettable, sharing your wealth of knowledge of our community and the surrounding area. You have razor-sharp social skills and the ability to make any situation a positive one. You are the community’s sales representative whose primary duties are to present properties and provide amenities to prospective residents in a way that speaks to each individual’s needs; act as a landlord for property owners and help them navigate the property market and advertise available properties using a variety of media and promotion materials. As the leasing specialist you properly secure lease agreements through qualifying standards.

You will respond to rental inquiries; schedule viewings and prepare documentation. Record all telephone, email, text and in person visits on appropriate reports. You are customer service focused, selling our community vision and story to our future residents. You always go the extra mile to ensure excellent service.

As the Leasing Specialist you hear people’s questions and interact with each person. Ensure the achievement of the property's revenue and occupancy goals by leading leasing, marketing and advertising activities for the property. You are organized and are proficient in Excel, Word, MS Office, Google, Rent Café and YARDI.

As the Leasing Specialist you will be available for possible evening and weekends, to ensure the successful lease up of our new community.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 plus years’ experience in leasing residential/multifamily apartments
• High School Grade 12 Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of leasing practices
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to multitask during busy period
• Other professional qualifications related to residential property management and leasing

The successful candidate will be willing to work evenings and weekends where required to ensure the successful lease up of our new community.

This is an in-person position at our residential community in Brantford, Ontario.

Compensation:

• $50,000 - $55,000/year
• Regular bonuses for meeting leasing targets
