Job description

Toromont Material Handling is looking for a rental specialist to join our team! The Rental Coordinator is responsible for assisting customers with their rental needs from our product line and promoting our products according to the company's policies and objectives.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Assist customers with their rental needs
  • Complete rental contracts
  • Promote our products to existing and potential customers
  • Coordinate transportation with rental customers (global solutions and others)
  • Obtain necessary credit authorization for shipping units
  • Enter reservations and contracts ('sales order') for rentals into DBS/SAP system
  • Process shipping and reception of equipment in DBS/SAP, identifying and correcting irregularities
  • Update and manage rental unit information in DBS/SAP (availability, accessories, chargers, batteries, transfers)
  • Prepare and invoice rentals and overtime
  • Research and resolve disputed rental invoices
  • Complete delivery reports for shipped rental units
  • Register rentals in RDPRM when necessary
  • Calculate lease conversions with purchase options
  • Open service orders for unit preparation and return
  • Maintain filing related to rental activities
  • Collaborate on projects or tasks related to the rental department

Must-haves for this role:

  • High school diploma in administration or related field; university education is an asset, combined with 3-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and DBS/SAP systems (preferred)
  • Bilingual in French and English (preferred)
