Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for learning programs (virtual, in-person, hybrid).

  • Administer registration for education programs (LOMA, CEBS) and track costs.
  • Arrange training venues, materials, catering, and tech setup as needed.
  • Liaise with internal SMEs, vendors, and facilitators for delivery of initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team to plan programs and priorities.
  • Maintain Jira and Confluence spaces; track tasks and templates.
  • Support LMS content, user data, and training metrics.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Learning & Development Coordinator supports employee learning and development initiatives by coordinating training activities, maintaining learning systems and records, and providing operational and administrative support for corporate learning programs. Working closely with the Learning & Development team and internal stakeholders, the Learning & Development Coordinator helps ensure learning initiatives are planned, delivered, and evaluated effectively. Through strong organization, collaboration, and attention to detail, this role contributes to creating a positive learning experience that supports employee development and organizational success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for learning programs, workshops, and training sessions delivered virtually, in person, or in hybrid formats.
  • Manage training calendars, schedule sessions, and coordinate participant invitations, registrations, and reminders.
  • Administer registration and enrollment for organization-wide education programs (e.g., LOMA, CEBS) and track associated training costs.
  • Arrange training venues, including room bookings, technology set up, learning materials, and catering, where required.
  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts, external vendors, and facilitators to support the successful delivery of learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to coordinate upcoming programs, initiatives, and departmental priorities.
  • Assess and prioritize incoming learning requests, balancing competing deadlines and existing schedules.
  • Maintain the Learning & Development task tracking system in Jira and departmental knowledge spaces, including Confluence, MBCU, and Learning & Development templates.
  • Provides support for updating our Intranet and BLUE Book policy manual.
  • Tracks, compiles, and summarizes training feedback and participation data to support evaluation of learning programs.
  • Maintains accurate records of all training activities and employee development plans.
  • Supports the L&D budget documentation, processing invoices, expense reports, and tracking costs against the budget.
  • Administers LinkedIn Learning (LIL) account activations and generates usage reports for leadership review.
  • Maintains the Learning Management System (LMS) with up-to-date course content, user data, completion records, and training metrics.
  • Supports application access and user administration requests in collaboration with IT and business partners.
  • Assists in gathering feedback on learning platforms and tools and provides recommendations to the Learning & Development team for consideration.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, leaders, vendors, and subject matter experts by responding to inquiries, providing updates, and gathering information required to support learning initiatives.
  • Develops and distributes engaging internal communications that promote L&D programs and organizational initiatives.
  • Prepares and organizes training materials, presentations, and learning resources to support trainers and participants.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
  • Dedicated to the principles of exceptional service, committed to responding to, anticipating, and addressing customer needs, for both internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role, preferably within Learning & Development, Human Resources, or Training.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Adult Learning principles, instructional design concepts, and change management practices.
  • Experience with content design and creation tools (e.g., Canva, Articulate360, etc.)
  • Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Planner, or similar platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering clear, professional communications to employees, leaders, and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proven experience in data reporting and platform evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Receptive to feedback in a collaborative work environment.
  • Enthusiastic about employee growth, learning, and development.
  • Actively contributes to team connection, engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Certification in Organizational Change Management, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, and/or professional communication.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement concepts, strategies, and tools.
  • Experience supporting virtual and hybrid training environments.
