Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents on the unit in Ontario. You will work under the RN's guidance and support Personal Support Workers to meet care plans with dignity and respect.

You will liaise with physicians, participate in shift reports, and help maintain quality care while ensuring safety and compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Member in good standing with the CNO.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant Ontario health and safety statutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing AgeCare policies on the unit.
• Liaise with physicians and health care team members.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Notify physician of significant changes in resident status.
• Participate in shift reports so the team stays informed.
