Job summary

Southbridge Care Homes Inc. seeks a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario to support the LTC Home with medications, treatments and assessments.

You will actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to uphold nursing standards and ensure resident safety and quality care. Qualified candidates hold a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, are registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario PRNAO, and have First Aid and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is required.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (PRNAO) is required.
• Current First Aid and BLS certificate is required.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and nursing standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following established standards, physician orders, and policies.
• Assess residents, develop and evaluate care plans, and monitor health status.
• Direct nursing and personal care staff, orient and train new personnel, and participate in performance appraisals.
