Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to deliver professional nursing care to residents within a long-term care setting. You will work with the care team and provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the unit.

You will liaise with physicians, report any resident status changes promptly, and participate in shift reports to ensure continuity of care. Knowledge of Ontario nursing standards is required.

Qualifications

• Geriatric or long-term care nursing experience and understanding of related acts.
• Knowledge of Nursing standards and health care regulations.
• Current competence certificate with good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the care team.
• Direct Personal Support Workers on the unit and assist with procedures.
• Liaise with physicians and notify changes in resident status promptly.
• Participate in shift reports and ensure changes are communicated.
• Contribute to policy/procedure revisions as needed.
