Job summary

Toyoda Gosei Americas in Stratford, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a daily operations team on the afternoon shift. You will guide subordinate supervisors, drive continuous improvement, coach staff, and coordinate with cross functional teams to meet targets and shipping deadlines.

The role requires 7–10 years in inventory management in a JIT environment and supervisory experience, plus strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills.

Qualifications

7–10 years’ experience in inventory management in JIT environment; automotive asset.
University or college degree in Production and Inventory Management.
Forklift license not necessary.
Several years of supervisory experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

Daily management of subordinate supervisory staff and guide team on continuous improvements.
Coordinate team to achieve targets and customer ship targets.
Coach team on production responsibilities and use all resources to meet targets.
Lead cross functional teams for improvement activities and kaizen.
Conduct training and evaluate employees’ performance.
Ensure safety and complete documentation on time.
Meet with subordinates regularly and ensure time efficiency across teams.
Lead new product launch activities and meet cost saving targets.
