Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering safe, ethical resident care across the geriatric and long-term care setting. You will apply knowledge, judgment, and interpersonal skills to support residents, families, and staff in a respectful, inclusive environment.

You will lead shift reports, coordinate nursing services, document changes, and process physician orders while upholding provincial standards and AgeCare policies.

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Knowledge of Canadian health acts and safety regulations.
• Registration and membership in good standing with provincial registry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing and other services for the residents within the neighbourhood and with the residence's services.
• Leads shift report with health care team, informing on changes in residents' status.
• Records significant changes in residents' condition and ensures chart documentation meets policies and standards.
• Reviews and processes physician orders, communicating issues to care leadership.
