AgeCare James Bay is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering resident care, applying nursing knowledge, skills and judgment to provide safe, ethical services.

You will coordinate services, lead shift reports and ensure accurate charting in line with provincial standards, policies and procedures. The role supports teamwork and a culture that values resident safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Registration and membership in good standing with provincial registry.
• Knowledge of Canadian health acts and standards that influence nursing home operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood and with other services.
• Leads shift report with health care team, ensuring all team members are informed of changes in residents’ status.
• Records significant changes in residents’ condition and ensures documentation adheres to policies and standards.
• Reviews and processes physician orders per procedure, implementing orders promptly.
• Communicates difficulties in processing physician orders to the Director of Care.
