Job summary

AgeCare Gibson is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care for residents and supervise Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers. You will coordinate services, lead shift reports, document changes, and ensure orders are implemented promptly.

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
• Registration in good standing with provincial registry.
• Knowledge of nursing practice standards and applicable acts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood and with other services in the residence.
• Leads shift report with health care team, informing changes in residents’ status.
• Records significant changes in residents’ condition and ensures chart documentation meets standards.
• Reviews physician orders and communicates difficulties to leadership.
