Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) invites applications for a Registered Early Childhood Educator in a 100% regular 10-month position. The role supports Junior and Senior Kindergarten through play-based learning, working with a classroom teacher in an Early Learning Program.

The successful candidate will have a two-year ECE college program, be registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, and bring child care experience, valid First Aid/CPR, and a current

Qualifications

Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent.
Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
Minimum of one year of child care experience.
Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
Immunization Record with proof of MMR and Tdap immunizations (or chicken pox history/vaccine) required for hires after Sept 1, 2022.
Police Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector within the last 6 months for new OCDSB employees.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality, play-based education to support cognitive, emotional and social development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
Lead an extended before/after-school program for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools and collaborate daily with classroom teachers.
