Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) invites applications for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to support Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day Early Learning Program. Under the direction of the Principal, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver play-based learning that promotes cognitive, emotional and social development.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing is required.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Immunization records including MMR and Tdap are required for new OCDSB employees.
• Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) within the last 6 months for new OCDSB employees.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver high-quality play-based education.
• Lead an extended program before/after school for OCDSB students.
• Support learning and cognitive, emotional and social development in JK/SK learners.
