Job summary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join a full-day Early Learning Program under the direction of the Principal. The role collaborates with classroom teachers to deliver high-quality, play-based education supporting cognitive, emotional, and social development for JK/SK students.

The position leads an extended program before/after school at designated elementary schools; a two-year ECE program and Ontario ECE registration are required, along

Qualifications

Two-year college program in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing
Minimum of one year of child care experience
Valid First Aid/CPR certification
Immunization record with MMR and Tdap (and chicken pox history or vaccine)
Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector within last 6 months for new OCDSB employees

Responsibilities

Collaborate with classroom teacher to provide high quality, play-based education for Junior and Senior Kindergarten
Lead an extended before/after-school program for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools
Support learning and development in cognitive, emotional and social domains
Work with diverse families and staff to promote student well-being and inclusive education
