Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator for a 100% term position to support Junior and Senior Kindergarten students in a full-day Early Learning Program.

Under the direction of the Principal, the ECE collaborates with the classroom teacher to deliver high quality, play-based education, and leads before/after-school activities when required. Ontario ECE registration and First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Immunization records including MMR and Tdap, plus chicken pox declaration.
• Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teacher to provide play-based education.
• Lead an extended program before/after school for OCDSB students.
• Support cognitive, emotional and social development of JK/SK students.
• Work with diverse families and communities to promote well-being.
