Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators are required.
• A minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
• Immunization records with MMR and Tdap immunizations (or documented chickenpox history or vaccine) are required for hires after Sept 1, 2022.
• Police Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector within the last 6 months for new OCDSB employees; PRC-VSC within last 5 years for current employees.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality, play-based education to promote learning and development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
• Lead an extended before/after-school program for OCDSB students at designated elementary schools.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate daily activities and learning experiences.
• Work with a diverse group of children and families in a multicultural school setting.
