Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a creative, dynamic Registered Early Childhood Educator for a 100% term role in a full-day Early Learning Program. You will work under the Principal and with classroom teachers to provide play-based education supporting cognitive, emotional and social development for JK/SK students.

Rate is $25.91 per hour plus 4% vacation pay; benefits included. Some OCDSB sites may require bilingual English & French.

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Immunization records showing MMR and Tdap (or chicken pox history/vaccine).
• Police Records Check (VSC) within the last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teacher to deliver high‑quality play‑based education.
• Lead an extended program before/after school for OCDSB students.
• Support learning and development of Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
