GFL Environmental Inc. in Edmonton, AB, seeks a Lead Dispatcher to lead a dispatch team and coordinate daily service schedules.

You will act as a primary contact for customers, manage route assignments, and support billing, contracts and reporting while collaborating with operations, sales, and shop staff. The role requires strong communication, organization, and at least 2 years in a transportation/dispatch capacity, with familiarity in Google Workspace and Trux software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a transportation or dispatch role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace programs.
• Friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Experience in waste or environmental services is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Trux software is a plus.

• Answer customer calls and emails professionally and promptly
• Manage a team of Dispatchers, supporting day to day operations
• Schedule and update services as needed
• Support billing, contracts, and reporting
• Coordinate with operations, sales, and shop staff
• Handle account questions and resolve issues
• Enter data and maintain accurate records
• Assist with general office and sales support tasks
• Distribute, collect and review route sheets for proper days end data entry.
• Dispatch calls to routes based upon designated route and driver location.
