Job summary

Encore Global in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Technical Supervisor to lead the on-site AV operations, deliver stellar customer service, and mentor the technical team.

You will oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment, coordinate with hotel staff and clients, and ensure safety and efficiency during events.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years AV experience, a Bachelor’s preferred, and a Technical 1-Star Certification; valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of audio visual experience required.
• Internal applicants must be Technical 1-Star Certified; external applicants must achieve certification within 60 days.
• Knowledge of technical theory.
• Advanced problem solving skills.
• Experience leading workflow and teams.
• Valid driver’s license for roles that may operate Company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown intermediate AV equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly.
• Ensure security and safety compliance.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service and client relations.
• Meet with guests on-site to verify the setup.
• Train technicians and mentor new hires.
• Organize daily floor activities and labor scheduling.
• Assist management with events coordination.
• Attend venue meetings as needed.
• Maintain equipment inventory and paperwork.
