Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate industrial wash and dry machines, launder and fold guest room, spa, restaurant, and banquet linen, as well as employee uniforms. Shifts run on a rotating schedule from 7:00am–3:30pm or 3:00pm–11:30pm.

• Be the primary Housekeeping contact and handle incoming calls and pages, logging information as required.
• Verify all incoming deliveries and communicate with appropriate departments.
• Participate in inventories, fabric care and routine laundry room cleaning.

Laundry Attendants are responsible for operating industrial wash & dry machines, laundering and folding guest room, spa, restaurant, and banquet linen and terry, as well as employee uniforms and other items as required. Laundry Attendants work from 7:00am to 3:30pm or 3:00pm to 11:30pm rotational shift work.

As a Laundry Attendant You Will

• Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Châteaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
• Be the primary contact for the Housekeeping Department and handle all incoming telephone calls, outgoing pages and the logging of pertinent information as required.
• Be one of the front line contacts for guests requiring Housekeeping assistance, committed to ensuring the guests' Wickaninnish Inn experience exceeds their expectations.
• Act as the receiver for the Wickaninnish Inn and verify all incoming deliveries, log information and communicate with the appropriate departments.
• Participate in regular inventories, fabric care and repair and general laundry room cleaning.

• Must enjoy working evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in a full service hotel an asset.
• The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.

Salary/Wage

$20.00 per hour
