Position Overview

As the Landscapes Manager, you will lead all daily operations of our Landscaping Department. You?ll oversee a dedicated crew of 5?10 team members, managing everything from lawn care and garden maintenance to snow removal, while ensuring the department meets our operational, safety, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • ? Supervise and coordinate daily operations across all landscaping functions?including lawn care, spring/fall cleanups, garden bed maintenance, tree planting, and hardscape installation
  • ? Hire, train, mentor, and lead a team of 5?10 landscaping staff
  • ? Operate, inspect, maintain, and ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and in working order?including skid steer operations
  • ? Quote and prepare estimates for both contract-based and individual service jobs, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining consistent company profitability
  • ? Manage lawn care and snow removal contracts for residential and commercial clients
  • ? Drive business development efforts?acquiring new clients and retaining existing ones while maintaining open, responsive client communications
  • ? Enforce health and safety standards across the department, ensuring compliance with guidelines, equipment safety, and staff training
  • ? Collaborate closely with Green Spot management to align department operations with company goals and customer expectations
  • ? Maintain inventory and scheduling?for both staff and equipment?ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of services
  • ? Oversee admin responsibilities?including documentation of work, billing, client communications, and job tracking
  • ? Stay informed about industry best practices, including sustainable landscaping techniques, and integrate them into operations
  • ? Respond proactively to weather challenges, seasonal shifts, and unexpected site conditions
Qualifications & Requirements
  • ? Proven experience in landscape management or maintenance, ideally with supervisory experience
  • ? Must have a minimum Class 5 driver?s license
  • ? Proficiency in operating a skid steer?required
  • ? Proficiency maneuvering trailers?required
  • ? Hands-on experience with hardscape installation
  • ? Ability to design landscaping plans that incorporate client wishes, site conditions, and best horticultural practices
  • ? Strong client relationship skills with the ability to manage expectations and communications effectively
  • ? Solid understanding of health and safety in landscaping operations, including implementing safety standards to comply with all regulations
  • ? Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • ? Strong quoting and estimating skills, with the ability to deliver competitive pricing while ensuring sustainable company profits
  • ? Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at scheduling and resource allocation
  • ? Excellent oral and written communication
  • ? Willingness to work outdoors and manage tasks in varying weather conditions and seasons
  • ? Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting, equipment operation, and outdoor labor
