Job summary

Dorney Lake, a Sodexo venue, seeks a Catering & Events Operations Manager to lead event services across conferences, weddings, sporting events and private dining. You will manage budgets, staff and client relationships, driving revenue and ensuring top-quality hospitality.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with an experienced team in place and opportunities to grow within the wider Eton venues. A strong emphasis on safety and service quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing catering and hospitality operations within conferences, banqueting or events environments.
• Strong understanding of high-end hospitality and fine dining.
• Budgets and profit & loss awareness with financial interpretation.
• Track record of increasing sales and developing business with clients.
• Experience leading teams and planning permanent and casual staffing.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication with clients and colleagues.
• Committing to five days out of seven including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead catering, hospitality and event services across Dorney Lake and wider Eton venues.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, P&L reviews, purchasing and stock control to hit revenue targets.
• Lead and develop operational and housekeeping teams with regular feedback and training.
• Plan staffing levels around the events calendar and control labour costs.
• Build strong relationships with onsite clients, customers and partners to drive repeat business.
• Grow revenue and enhance the hospitality offer and guest experience.
• Ensure planning and communication before, during and after events and provide duty management support.
• Maintain health and safety and audit readiness in line with policies.
