Job summary

Alberta Precision Labs is seeking an Administrative Support I to join the Pre & Post Analytics team at the Diagnostic Scientific Centre. You will handle incoming specimens, validate requisitions, and maintain clean equipment while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

This is a full-time on-site role with evening shifts, requiring physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push up to 200 lbs carts. Hours are 1100-1915, Wednesday to Sunday, with potential schedule changes based on workload.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• First Aid/CPR required to complete after hiring.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transport specimens between floors using carts and dumbwaiters.
• Scan and validate requisitions into the electronic system.
• Perform daily quality checks and maintain equipment and materials cleanliness.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients.
• Uphold confidentiality and follow safety protocols at every step.
