Job summary

Qualicare Homecare, BC is seeking Health Care Aides / Caregivers to support clients across BC, with a focus on Korean-speaking clients in Burnaby and nearby communities. Join a team devoted to culturally comfortable, language-matched care in clients' homes.

Shifts range from 2 to 12 hours with flexible scheduling and ongoing opportunities to build lasting relationships with clients. Training and career development are offered through QPath pathways.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Korean and able to communicate in English.
• Experience as a Caregiver or Health Care Aide is required.
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent; foreign-trained nurses or nursing students welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare meals aligned with client preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping to support living at home.
• Accompany clients on outings and assist with errands.
• Provide medication reminders and assist as directed.
• Support mobility and transport of clients as needed.
• Offer companionship and converse in Korean.

The Home Caregiver/HCA is an essential member of our home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean alongside conversational English
• Prior experience as a Caregiver or Health Care Aide required
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student preferred)
• Current CPR / First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to travel to client homes in the local area
• Access to Internet / smart phone with data
