Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean with conversational English is required.
• Prior experience as a caregiver or Health Care Aide is required.
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse preferred).
• CPR / First Aid training current or willingness to obtain.
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to travel to client homes in the local area.
• Internet access / smartphone with data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare meals tailored to client preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients on outings.
• Shop and run errands.
• Assist with medications and reminders.
• Assist with ambulation and transport.
• Provide companionship in Korean.
• Follow care plans and maintain documentation.

The Home Caregiver/HCA is an essential member of our home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare, BC has immediate openings for Health Care Aides/Caregivers across BC, with a specific focus on supporting Korean-speaking clients in Burnaby and surrounding communities! Many of our local clients and families communicate best in Korean. This role allows you to make a deep, meaningful connection by providing culturally comfortable, language‑matched care right in your community.
