Job summary

Value Buds Edson is seeking a Keyholder / Shift Lead to deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example in a fast-paced cannabis retail setting.

You will guide customers, manage daily store operations, operate the POS, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting teammates on shift.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About the Role We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.
