JUNIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Position Summary

The Junior Financial Analyst will work as an integral member of a highly skilled financial team. In this position, you will be responsible for journaling, reconciling, analyzing, and evaluating simple to complex financial information. You will be required to keep abreast of key trends in the finance profession, as well as collecting and analyzing data to gain a better understanding about what impacts financial results. You will also work with the divisional team to complete routine, financial, and operational work. The Junior Financial Analyst is a good problem solver and will work with a broad range of people at all levels and prepare analyses and spreadsheets on specific financial data that can be used to generate reports. Furthermore, you may develop to be responsible for performing detailed cost and financial analysis for TransForm. The successful candidate will also be called upon to assist with internal and external audit requests as appropriate.

What you’ll do
  • Provides operational support for payroll and position control
  • Documents and journalizes financial information across the organization into the general ledger
  • Assists with budgeting, accounting, forecasting and statistical analysis
  • Performs audits of expense reports and follows up on variance in relation to policy
  • Provides operational support to the finance team. This includes G/L maintenance, budget maintenance, and supporting development of financial reports
  • General ledger account analysis and reconciliations as requested/assigned
  • Assists with cash flow analysis and bank reconciliations
  • Maintains confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Other duties as assigned
MUST- HAVES
  • Minimumthree (3) yearcollege diploma or University Degreerelatedto finance, accounting, payroll or business administration
  • Knowledge of financial business, objectives and business priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office applications knowledge and proven experience (Excel, Word, Access, MS Project, and Crystal Reports)
  • Ability to use computer finance planning and modeling tools (knowledge of business budgeting and forecasting)
WE VALUE
  • In pursuit of CPA, CMA, CGA or CA designation, an asset
  • An understanding of, and experience with MIS reporting standards is an asset
OTHER CONDITIONS
  • Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
