MAJOR REFRIGERATION LTD. in Ontario is seeking a Refrigeration Journeyperson to join our team. The role focuses on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance and troubleshooting across multiple sites in Barrie, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Port Elgin, Sarnia, Windsor or Owen Sound.

You will diagnose, service and repair rooftop units and refrigeration systems, read schematics, and ensure safety and compliance while providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• ODP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems (e.g., racks, walk-in coolers, rooftop units).
• Maintain safety and compliance with codes and company standards.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled Refrigeration Journeyperson to join our growing team. Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Barrie, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Port Elgin, Sarnia, Windsor or Owen Soundarea.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints
• Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems (ie. racks walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units etc.)
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licenced 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls
• Willing and able to work overtime, as required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• ODP certification required
