Job summary

Major Refrigeration Ltd. is seeking a Refrigeration Journeyperson to join our growing team in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. You will focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites in Ontario.

The role requires a 313A license, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to work independently with strong diagnostic skills. A company vehicle, training, and competitive compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• Licenced 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
• Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• ODP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints.
• Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems (ie. racks walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units etc.).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Position

Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara, London, Barrie, Port Elgin or Owen Soundarea.
