Job summary

Major Refrigeration Ltd. in Ontario is seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyperson to join our growing team. The role focuses on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and beyond.

You will diagnose, service and repair refrigeration equipment, read schematics and blueprints, and work with rooftop units. We offer a competitive wage, company vehicle, benefits, RSP, four weeks vacation, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyperson to join our growing team. Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara, London, Barrie, Port Elgin or Owen Sound area.

Role and Responsibilities

• Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspectionsAbility to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints
• Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems (ie. racks walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units etc.)
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Licenced 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls
• Willing and able to work overtime, as required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• ODP certification required
