Job summary

Finning in Saskatchewan is seeking Journeyperson Electricians to support power generation systems. You will service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical equipment, including engines, compressors, and generators, across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold a Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred) or be 3rd/4th year apprentices with power experience; a valid Class 5 license is required. CAT training and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician certification required; Red Seal preferred.
• Heavy Duty Mechanic experience with power generation is an asset.
• Power systems experience and ability to troubleshoot fuel delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical and power generation equipment.
• Perform maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments.
• Load test power generation equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment (including engines).
• Assist in fulfilling customer service commitments.

• Wage: $42.62 - $51.57
• Additional Premiums available per hour: $3.25 (continuous shift), $5.00 (field), $3.25 (dual ticket)

Job Description:

• Service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical and power generation equipment
• Perform maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments
• Load test power generation equipment
• Service, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment (including general maintenance to full rebuilds of CAT engines)
• Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Heavy Duty Mechanic with power generation experience would be an asset
• Power Systems experience, must be capable and confident troubleshooting mechanically governed fuel delivery systems
• Valid Class 5 Drivers licenseGenerator experience would be an asset

• A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing)
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices may be considered
• Equivalent Tickets with power experience will be considered
