Job summary

Métis Nation Saskatchewan is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide timely end-user support and help maintain our information technology systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure reliable IT services.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, installing and configuring workstations, assisting the helpdesk, and coordinating with other departments to optimize IT resources.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar IT support role.
  • A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and IT systems.

SALARY RANGE: Starting at$47,754.00 Per Annum

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Permanent

ACCOUNTABLE TO: IT Manager

Brief Overview

Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is looking for an individual that has a passion for providing IT supports, is an exceptional communicator, and is a natural problem solver. Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of technical and operational IT supports to current and future information technology systems and infrastructure. To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be committed to quality standards and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team on solutions in a changing IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems, networks, software, and hardware.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is an asset.

  • Exceptionally proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of strategic and operational planning.

Additional Requirements
  • The position is based on a 37.5-hour work week Monday through Friday.
  • A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to our downtown location at 310 20 th St E Saskatoon would be required.
  • The successful candidate must undergo a Criminal Record Check.
