Job summary

Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory is seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused IT Technician to support and maintain the organization’s technology infrastructure. The IT Technician will report to the CTO and collaborate with staff across all departments to ensure reliable, secure technology services.

Responsibilities include providing desktop and device support, managing Microsoft 365 services, monitoring networks, and assisting with servers, cloud services, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, AD, networking, and endpoint management.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobiles, and network issues.
• Excellent communication and customer-service focused skills.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ or Microsoft/Cisco are assets.
• Operational understanding of Anishinaabemowin is an asset.

• Provide first and second-level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity and wireless systems.
• Assist with user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
• Deploy and maintain servers, cloud services, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Document procedures, configurations, support activities, and asset inventories.
• Participate in technology projects, upgrades, system implementations, and equipment installs.
• Provide excellent customer service with timely issue resolution.

The IT Technician will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and work closely with staff across all departments to ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity, wireless systems, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
• Assist with deployment and maintenance of servers, cloud services, backup systems, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Document technical procedures, configurations, support activities, and asset inventories.
• Participate in technology projects, upgrades, system implementations, and equipment installations.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and endpoint management.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and network-related issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are considered assets.
• Operational understanding of Anishinaabemowin is an asset

Salary: $ 65,009
