Job summary

Cohere in Toronto is seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to anchor regional IT operations. You will be the primary contact for internal employees, delivering white-glove technical support while managing identity, collaboration platforms, and SaaS systems.

Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding, device setup, password resets, MFA, and setting up new hires for day one. You will work cross-functionally to keep our workforce secure and productive.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years in help desk or internal IT support.
• Experience with Okta, MFA, SSO and Google Workspace.
• MDM platforms such as Intune (Windows) and Iru (macOS).
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPN) with UniFi/Ubiquiti a plus.
• Slack and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools support.
• Patient, helpful, solutions-oriented approach to internal staff issues.

Responsibilities

• Triage internal IT requests via ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot workstation, laptop, mobile, and basic network issues; escalate complex cases.
• Document work and communicate clearly during incidents.
• Onboard and offboard employees; manage access provisioning and offboarding compliance.
• Maintain support procedures and knowledge base.
• Collaborate with business units as main support contact.
• Assist with device setup for new hires and day-one readiness.
• Track hardware inventory and coordinate replacements/repairs.
• Assist with passwords, MFA, email, and productivity-tools issues.
• Provide on-site support for printers and meeting-room tech.
• Take on special projects and grow into broader IT responsibilities.
