Job summary

Kepler Communications Inc. in Toronto is offering a 4-month IT Intern position designed for students beginning their IT careers. You will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day IT operations while supporting the team with laptops, workstations, software, and security practices.

The role requires enrollment in an IT/CS program, comfort with Windows, VPNs, Microsoft 365, and Jira, and a readiness to learn. On-site in our Toronto office, you will collaborate closely with experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience setting up laptops, workstations, peripherals, and user accounts.
• Experience providing basic technical troubleshooting and support.
• Familiarity with networking, VPNs, Windows operating systems, and Microsoft enterprise software, including Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding/offboarding of employees by setting up laptops, workstations, peripherals, accounts, and basic system access.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, networking, internet, and workstation issues.
• Assist with installing, configuring, and updating software applications.
• Triage, resolve, and document support requests through the IT ticketing system, Jira.
• Help maintain accurate IT documentation, guides, and process instructions.
• Support inventory management of IT equipment, software, and licenses.
• Assist with routine system maintenance tasks such as backups and updates.
• Learn and follow IT security best practices and company policies.
• Participate in team projects and assist with other IT-related tasks.
