Job summary

Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is seeking an Information Communication Technology Assistant Manager - IT Infrastructure to lead the Infrastructure and Client Computing teams, directing planning, deployment, and maintenance of the District's core technology framework. You will ensure system reliability, security, and alignment with educational priorities.

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent ICT program.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT infrastructure support experience.
Proven experience supervising technical teams and leading projects.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Direct, supervise, and mentor technical personnel including supervisors and engineers; coordinate duties.
Assist ICT Manager with strategic department planning and multi-year equipment refresh budgeting.
Oversee system updates, network/server deployments, and 3rd-level escalations.
Evaluate and recommend infrastructure hardware/software, devices, and training standards.
Engage with administrators and staff to ensure high uptime and communicate maintenance schedules.
