Job summary

ventureLAB is seeking an IT Coordinator Project Intern to lead a 16-week digital infrastructure initiative in Markham, Ontario. The role focuses on optimizing IT workflows, device management, and technical support for staff and hardware incubator members.

The intern will work under the IT lead, gaining hands-on experience in enterprise IT operations, systems administration, and technical support within Canada’s premier innovation ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with structured diagnostic approaches.
• Excellent time-management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Audit internal IT assets (hardware, software licenses, cloud assets) and update the inventory.
• Streamline helpdesk workflows and create automated self-service guides for staff and incubator members.
• Refine onboarding/offboarding workflows including hardware provisioning and access controls.
• Assist with network, AV setup, and workstation readiness in the Innovation Space Centre.
• Draft internal IT security documentation and best practices to ensure data protection.
