Job summary

Hootsuite is seeking a Junior IT Operations Administrator to provide frontline IT support, deploy laptops, and assist with identity and endpoint management. The role is hybrid with in-person work at Vancouver or Toronto offices, supporting AI enablement and frontline IT initiatives.

You will experience service desk operations, asset management, and structured exposure to core platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience troubleshooting Mac problems
• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS problems
• Working knowledge of Google Admin and Google Workspace apps
• Foundational understanding of identity and access concepts (AD, SSO)
• Experience with endpoint management
• ACMT course an asset (Mac shop)
• Experience in an agile environment is a nice-to-have
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset
• Clear written and verbal communication; collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve tickets in the Helpdesk queue and document solutions
• Build, configure, and deploy laptops and peripherals
• Support hardware procurement, logistics, and asset management
• Set up, install, modify, configure, and maintain desk hardware in the office
• Create and decommission accounts for new hires and exits
• Rotate through structured exposure to core platforms (identity, SSO, Jamf)
• Support AI enablement: provisioning and supporting AI tools
• Assist Infrastructure on platform projects and hands-on tooling
• Create tickets and move work through agile workflow
• Keep team documentation current as processes evolve
• Assist in departmental projects requiring Helpdesk support
• Perform on-call duties according to global schedule
• Perform other related duties as assigned
