Job summary

BBA is seeking an experienced automation engineer to contribute across major projects from scoping through onsite commissioning. You will help define project scope, lead a team of technicians and drafters, and participate in commissioning, with tasks ranging from P&IDs to control diagrams.

Strong English and French skills are required to collaborate with Canadian and international offices. Ideal candidates hold a Quebec-licensed engineering degree and have 5–12 years in automation and control,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• 5–12 years of experience in automation, instrumentation and control.
• Experience programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS).
• Experience with pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning.
• Strong English skills for collaboration with other offices and clients.
• Strong French skills to collaborate with Québec clients.

Overview Of Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• From 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation and control
• Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
• Experience with pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Ability to draft technical documents in both English and French
• Asset: knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS)
