Job summary

BBA Consultants in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, QC, Canada, is seeking a Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation to join our automation team. You will participate in engineering phases, prepare concepts, select technologies and contribute to client site commissioning.

The role requires a college diploma in industrial electronics, automation, instrumentation or robotics, willingness to travel to client sites, and strong English and French communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a college diploma in industrial electronics, automation, instrumentation or robotics or equivalent training.
• Able to travel regularly to client sites and offices.
• Advanced English skills to collaborate with other BBA offices and clients; advanced French skills for Québec collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various engineering phases through to client site commissioning.
• Assist in engineering, concept development, technology selection and solution proposals from definition to implementation.
• Prepare data sheets, size equipment and possibly program control systems.

By joining our team as a technician, you'll contributeto various phases of engineering, right through to client site commissioning.You may be called upon to help carry out engineering, prepare concepts, selecttechnologies and propose solutions, from definition to implementation.

• Select electrical and control components for projects of all sizes
• Prepare technical data sheets, and size and select equipment and instruments
• Develop and prepare engineering deliverables and drawings and possibly even program control systems
• Perform studies and draft technical specifications and estimates (fabrication, construction, purchasing)
• Provide technical assistance during construction (configuration and calibration)
• Check the installation and configuration of components on site (25% of the time)

• College diploma in industrial electronics, automation, instrumentation or robotics, or other relevant training
• Available to travel regularly to client sites and offices
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
